From PGM Recovery to Sustainable Reuse
The CHemPGM Massive Open Online Course provides an integrated learning journey through innovative approaches for the recovery, separation and reuse of platinum-group metals from secondary resources.
Developed within the CHemPGM project, the course follows the PGM recycling value chain — from the characterisation and hydrometallurgical treatment of spent automotive catalysts to PGM separation and recovery, incorporation into new catalytic applications, and the sustainability and standardisation pathways supporting future industrial implementation.
Through an introductory section and four thematic modules, learners can explore the scientific and technological developments of CHemPGM at their own pace and assess their understanding through short knowledge tests accompanying each module.
